Our mission is to guide each client through the changes necessary for the creation of a comfortable body and soul.

After 4 years of Traditional Chinese Medical Training, continued studies and work with the medicine since graduation in 2003, Yael’s treatments have evolved.  Through intensive assessment and comparison of each theory, Yael’s treatments use the most effective and efficient methods to ease the body of dis-ease.

We spend time discussing the possible roots of one’s discomforts and the many solutions that will support healing. Acupuncture is the main form of treatment used in the clinic. Generally treatments are on a weekly basis for the first few weeks and they gradually spread out to one time per month. Some cases need only one or two sessions.

Yael Shayla Greenfeld R.Ac., Dip.TCM: History of Traditional Chinese Medical Knowledge

Since graduating from the Academy of Classical Oriental Science (ACOS) in 2003, Yael has been working in her clinic full time and has attended courses to continue to grow from the wisdom of her colleagues.  UBC introduced Daoism where the unity between nature and human beings was learned.  ACOS was a four year intensive program which consisted of Western Disease courses, Biology, Anatomy,Traditional  Chinese Acupuncture and its many theories, Chinese Herbolgy, Tuina and Swedish Massage, Counciling, Nutrition, QiGong/TaiQi, Techniques such as Cupping, Electric Stimulation, Guasha and Scalp acupuncture.

Since the Academy, Yael has been attending courses to strengthen the foundation of  this knowledge. These courses are described in the following paragraphs.

The PSYCHE plays a major role in the state of health our body is in:

Ritualistic Acupuncture; Acupuncture for Terminal Patients; Lori Dechar, Alchemical Acupuncture; Lilian Bridges,Facial Diagnosis; Bruce Robinson, Psychopathology & Medical Treatment of Anxiety and Depression ; NADA protocol for Addiction; Giovanni Maciocia, Understanding & Treatment of Depression; Nic Lucas, Anxious but Happy

PAIN is a common syndrome that is seen in the clinic.  Yael therefore sought more information from both a Western and an Eastern approach to clearing the body of the pain:

Matt Callison (physio), Motor Point Theory upper and lower extremities; Sport Injury Assessment ; Dr. Theresa Clark M.D., Fibromyalgia; Master Tung; Dr. Tan, Acupuncture1,2,3, Global Balance, 5 Element, Meridian Conversion; Anatomy Trains, Myofascial release

FERTILITY AND GYNECOLOGICAL problems have become a common reason for women to come for acupuncture.  Yael has made certain to keep up with information that is circulating:

Raven Lang, Art of Science and Obstetrics; Dr. David Bray, Optimizing Male and Female Fertility; Dr. Brandon Horn, Strategies of Improving IVF outcome; Giovanni Maciocia, Understanding treatment fo Infertility and Treatment of Endometriosis; Bruce Robinson, How to Approach Menopause
